The neighbourhood of Sunset Beach can be found in the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the best means of transportation in Sunset Beach. Many real estate listings are a very short drive from the nearest highway, and it is especially convenient to park. In contrast, public transit riders may have limited options in this part of West Vancouver by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most properties. It is very impractical for pedestrians to get around in Sunset Beach since meeting daily needs is very difficult on foot. This part of West Vancouver is also not very appropriate for cycling since cyclists encounter a considerable amount of hills, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

Sunset Beach does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, parents may consider it very difficult for their children to get to daycares as a pedestrian. With regards to food, a car is almost always required in Sunset Beach to access the nearest grocery store.

Character

Sunset Beach offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy. There are a few parks close by for residents to check out and they are especially well-located, which makes it easy to reach them. It remains relatively quiet in this part of West Vancouver, since there are very few pedestrians.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about half of dwellings in Sunset Beach, whereas the rest are mainly small apartment buildings, duplexes, and townhouses. Around 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the municipality also has a good choice of housing sizes - properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
