Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Cypress Park Estates is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred way to get around in Cypress Park Estates. It is very easy to park, and many homes for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. On the other hand, public transit riders may have limited choices in Cypress Park Estates due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. Walking is not very feasible for house buyers in this part of West Vancouver as very few day-to-day errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. This part of the municipality is also not very amenable to biking as the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and there are quite a few slopes.

Services

It is sometimes an option for house buyers in this area to travel to the closest supermarket by walking. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally easy to access on foot and supply some basic food items. As far as education is concerned, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of West Vancouver. In addition, families may find it very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Cypress Park Estates. Parks are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to discover, which makes them easy to get to from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood. Lastly, it is relatively quiet in this part of West Vancouver, since there are very few people out and about on the streets.

Nearly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder. In this area, roughly 90% of dwellings are single detached homes, but townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About 45% of properties in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 1990s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
