Sunset Beach is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured method of transportation in this area is usually a car. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and the majority of properties for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in this neighbourhood. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not very well-suited for walking as almost no daily needs can be carried out on foot. Moving around by bicycle is also challenging in this area because the cycling network is not very extensive, and riding is rendered strenuous by the typically steep topography.

Services

This part of West Vancouver does not contain any high schools or primary schools. When it comes to food, it is very rarely possible for house buyers in this area to do grocery shopping by walking.

Character

There is a broad selection of green spaces in Sunset Beach. Parks are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, making it easy to access them. It remains relatively quiet in this part of the municipality, thanks to the presence of very few pedestrians.

About 30% of homes in this part of West Vancouver were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
