The neighbourhood of Town Centre is part of the city of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is easy for pedestrians to move around in this area; running daily errands is convenient. However, it is challenging to travel by bike in Town Centre as there is a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is somewhat poor. Getting around by transit can be occasionally challenging in Town Centre as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, train stations, including the Port Haney Station on the Wce | West Coast Express, are not especially far-removed from most houses in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is connected by about 10 bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most residences. However, driving is often the favoured mode of transportation in this area. It is convenient to park, and most properties for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway.

Services

Parents and their kids will find that wherever their house is situated in this part of the city, schools and daycares are nearby. When it comes to eating, property owners in Town Centre will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a short walk away. Likewise, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe in close proximity, for instance along 224th Street. It is also a reasonably short distance to a good choice of clothing stores.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed atmosphere will enjoy Town Centre. This area is reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally quite tranquil - however noise can be bothersome near the railway line. Finally, there are around 20 parks nearby for residents to visit, such as Kanaka Creek, and they are especially well-distributed, making it easy to reach them.

Housing

About half of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Town Centre, while large apartment buildings are the main alternative in the housing stock. This area offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes. About 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder.
