This neighbourhood is a fairly pleasant part of Maple Ridge for pedestrians; running daily errands is convenient without the use of a car, and many businesses are moderately close at hand. However, cycling is occasionally difficult in Town Centre as the bicycling infrastructure is somewhat poor, and there is a significant amount of hills. The preferred transportation option in this area is often driving. Nearby highways are easy to reach from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and accessing a parking spot is easy. On the other hand, public transit users may have few choices in this neighbourhood due to the service's low frequency. Thankfully, train stations, including the Port Haney Station Westbound and Port Haney Station Eastbound with access to the West Coast Express, are not especially far-removed from the majority of properties in the neighbourhood. There are around 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes.

Parents and their children will find that no matter where their house is situated in Town Centre, daycares and schools are nearby. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. Regarding food, the nearest supermarket in Town Centre is usually only a very short walk away. In addition, this part of the city is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe.

Town Centre offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially near the railway line. Finally, it is easy to access parks from a lot of locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them close by for residents to check out.
