Central Maple Ridge is a neighbourhood within Maple Ridge, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured transportation option in this area is usually a car. It is easy to access a place to park, and it is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in Central Maple Ridge. However, the transit in this part of Maple Ridge is rather limited. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner. Central Maple Ridge is not especially cycling-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is not particularly well-developed, and riding is rendered strenuous by the typically hilly topography. Getting around as a pedestrian in this neighbourhood is also not very popular, despite the fact that many daily errands can be run without a car.

Services

A fraction of home buyers in Central Maple Ridge may be able to travel to the closest grocery store by foot, while others will have to use another means of transportation. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. With respect to education, it is a reasonably short trip to get to schools and daycares from any location in this part of the city.

Character

People who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Central Maple Ridge. Parks, like Kanaka Creek and Telosky Stadium/Thomas Haney, are very well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, which makes them easy to get to. This part of Maple Ridge is also very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the majority of buildings in Central Maple Ridge, while duplexes are the main alternative in the housing stock.
