Transportation

This neighbourhood will draw home buyers that value different means of transportation. The reasonably good public transit infrastructure allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. More precisely, rapid transit stations, such as Fairway Station and Block Line Station with access to the ION Light Rail, are not very far from the majority of residences in the neighbourhood. Homeowners have access to about 10 bus lines, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Vanier is also well-suited for walking; many daily needs can be carried out by walking. Moving around by bicycle is easy in Vanier.

Services

Home buyers in Vanier will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away. Residents benefit from around 20 restaurants and cafes as well. In terms of education, parents and their children will appreciate the proximity to primary schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from the majority of properties for sale in this part of the city. In contrast, Vanier does not contain any high schools. Residents can choose between public and private elementary schools.

Character

Vanier is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This area is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very peaceful - however noise can be problematic close to Highway 7, Highway 7 & 8 or one of the railway lines. Lastly, there are about 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to explore, including Wilson Park Natural Area and Peter Hallman Ballyard / Activa Sportsplex, and they are very well-situated, which makes them very easy to reach.
