Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Eastwood. The majority of real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 7, and it is straightforward to park. However, travelling by public transit is occasionally difficult in this area. Nonetheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Travelling by foot is not very popular in Eastwood, although many daily needs are convenient to meet by walking. Cycling is also difficult in Eastwood since this neighbourhood is home to a quite bad bicycling infrastructure, and there is a significant amount of elevation changes.

Services

It is easy to reach the closest supermarket on foot in this area. In addition, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of options. It is also a rather short walk to a reasonable selection of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, in this neighbourhood, parents and their schoolchildren will usually be able to get to both primary and secondary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of daycares and thus they can be a long walk away.

Character

One of the highlights of Eastwood is its broad selection of green spaces. There are a few parks nearby for residents to unwind in and they are especially well-distributed, which makes them very easy to get to from most locations in Eastwood. Finally, due to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively quiet, although there can be more noise for those who are near Highway 7 or Highway 8.

Housing

Most housing in Eastwood was built prior to the 1960s, during its most significant construction boom. In this part of the city, many buildings are single detached homes, and the rest of the homes are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings.
