Part of the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area, Jumbo Gardens is a neighbourhood within Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred method to move around in Jumbo Gardens. Parking is generally easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a short car ride from the closest highway. In contrast, the public transit system in Jumbo Gardens is fairly poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close. Bicycling is at times challenging in this neighbourhood as the terrain is not especially flat, and the cycling network is fairly poor. It is also sometimes difficult for people travelling on foot to move around in this area because few day-to-day errands can be run without having to resort to a car.

Services

Accessing the nearest supermarket on foot is possible for some, but not all, house buyers in this area. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and cafes as well. Concerning education, parents and their kids will value the proximity to primary schools, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, homes for sale in this part of Thunder Bay. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Jumbo Gardens.

Jumbo Gardens is very good for those who need quiet areas, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
