Part of the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area, Eastwood is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario.

Transportation

It is easy for pedestrians to navigate Eastwood; running common errands is convenient without needing a car. This part of the city is also rather appropriate for cycling. Getting around by public transit is at times challenging in this part of Kitchener. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically very close by. In contrast, driving is a great mode of transportation in Eastwood. Parking is generally easy, and it is a very short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Highway 8, from anywhere in this part of the city.

Services

It is convenient to reach the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian from any home in this part of the city. Likewise, Eastwood is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat. It is also a reasonably short stroll to a decent choice of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, families will value the proximity to both primary and secondary schools, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, homes for sale in Eastwood. On the other hand, daycares are not particularly plentiful and thus tend to require a rather long stroll to get to.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Eastwood. Parks are especially well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in, which makes it very easy to get to them. Thanks to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city remains relatively quiet; however noise levels are higher closer to Highway 7 or Highway 8.
