Transportation

The car is usually the preferred method of transportation in this part of the city. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways are easy to drive to from any home in Royal Oak. However, this part of Cambridge is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are typically a short walk away. Royal Oak is not very conducive to walking as very few daily errands can be run on foot. Commuting by bicycle is also difficult in this part of the city because there is a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is quite bad.
