Eagle Harbour is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured transportation option in Eagle Harbour is very often driving. Many properties for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 99, and finding a parking spot is quite easy. On the other hand, the public transit service in Eagle Harbour is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is generally close by. It is very difficult for people travelling on foot to navigate Eagle Harbour since running common errands is very challenging on foot. Despite the fact that a few pleasant pockets for cycling can be found, Eagle Harbour is also not very bicycling-friendly as riding is rendered arduous by the typically steep terrain, and there are few bike lanes.

Services

A fraction of property owners in Eagle Harbour may have the option to shop for their groceries on foot, while others will need a vehicle. In terms of education, primary schools and daycares are easy to get to on foot from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood. In contrast, there are no high schools in this part of the municipality.

Character

The character of Eagle Harbour is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. There are about 10 green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, which makes it very easy to get to them. Most areas in this part of the municipality are reasonably quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite loud, especially closer to Highway 99, Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line.

Housing

Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the properties in Eagle Harbour while the rest are rented. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Roughly one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood also has quite a good variety of unit sizes; there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this part of West Vancouver.
