Transportation

Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in this neighbourhood. It is convenient to park, and it is a short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Félix-Leclerc, from any home in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, the public transit service in Pointe-aux-Trembles is not especially frequent. Thankfully, homeowners can depend on the Gare Pointe-aux-Trembles on the Mascouche Line. The neighbourhood is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. Travelling on foot is not particularly practical for residents in Pointe-aux-Trembles because common amenities such as banks or post offices can be an occasionally long walk away. On the other hand, this part of Montréal is reasonably conducive to bicycling since there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave, and there are a fair number of bike lanes.
