Part of the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Sainte-Rose is a neighbourhood within Laval, Quebec.

Transportation

The public transit system in this area is reasonably practical thanks to Gare Sainte-Rose on the Saint-Jérôme Line, and a few nearby bus lines. This neighbourhood is also a very convenient part of Laval for moving around by car. It is convenient to find a parking spot, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway, such as Autoroute des Laurentides, from any location in Sainte-Rose. This area is not particularly convenient for walking as few common errands can be run on foot.

Services

In this neighbourhood, families will typically be able to access daycares and primary schools by walking. On the other hand, it can be difficult to access high schools as a pedestrian. With regards to eating, the closest supermarket in Sainte-Rose is generally only a reasonably short walk away. A small selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.

Character

Sainte-Rose offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of Laval is very quiet, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Lastly, the greenery in this area is not particularly prominent; to be more specific, residents will find that there are few tree-lined streets. Nonetheless, public green spaces are easy to access, since getting to one is very easy from most homes for sale and there are around 30 parks nearby for residents to relax in.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of buildings in Sainte-Rose, and the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around three quarters of the properties in Sainte-Rose while renters occupy the remainder.
