It is also easy to move around by bike in York since the bicycling network is comprehensive. Thanks to Eglinton Station with access to the Yonge - University Line, and approximately 30 nearby bus lines, York is very transit friendly. This area is also a fairly good part of Toronto for moving around by car. It is easy to park.

There are over 100 parks nearby for residents to unwind in, including Canadian Ukrainian Memorial Park and City Wide Open Space, which results in them being very easy to access from a lot of locations within the former municipality. This part of Toronto is also quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however noise can be problematic around one of the railway lines, Highway 401 or Highway 400.
