Algoma is a neighbourhood within Thunder Bay, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area.

Transportation

Property owners who value living in a compact area will enjoy the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of Algoma; many daily errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle. It is also easy to travel by bicycle in this part of the city. This area is rather car friendly. It is very easy to come across a place to park. However, Algoma is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences.

Services

It is a reasonably short stroll to access daycares and schools from most houses for sale in this area. As far as food is concerned, it is straightforward to reach the closest supermarket on foot in Algoma. In addition, a cafe is commonly just around the corner, for example along Court Street, and a small number of restaurants are available in Algoma as well.
