Transportation

Physically active house buyers will appreciate the reasonably walk-friendly character of Langstaff; many daily needs can be met by walking. This neighbourhood is also quite appropriate for cycling. The favoured approach to navigate this part of Richmond Hill is very often driving. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 407, from any home in Langstaff, and it is easy to park. On the other hand, residents using public transit may find few options in this part of the town by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there is the Langstaff with access to the Richmond Hill. Rapid transit stations, such as Yonge / 16th-Carrville, Hwy 7 / Bayview and Richmond Hill Centre Platform 3 on the Viva Orange, Viva Purple and Viva Blue, are not very far-removed from the greater part of residences in the neighbourhood. There are about 20 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties.

Services

Character

Langstaff is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. It is easy to reach parks since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out. This neighbourhood is also fairly good for those who like quiet surroundings, as the streets are reasonably calm - however noise can be problematic closer to the railway line or Highway 407.

Housing

In Langstaff, many buildings are large apartment buildings, and the remainder are mainly single detached homes. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant building boom after the year 2000, so most of the available housing stock is from this era.
