Transportation

This part of the city is especially car friendly. Most houses for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is especially convenient to park. However, commuting by transit can be challenging in Rougemount due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most houses are near a bus stop. Rougemount is not very bike-friendly as the bicycling network is not very extensive, and there are quite a few hills. This part of Pickering is also not very conducive to walking since few daily needs can be met on foot.
