Southdown

The neighbourhood of Southdown is part of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area will appeal to property owners that value a diversity of methods of transportation. Physically active home buyers will value the quite pedestrian-friendly character of Southdown; many daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. This area is also reasonably amenable to biking since there are a good number of bike lanes. Thanks to Clarkson Go Station Platform 9 with access to the University Express, and a few nearby bus lines, Southdown is quite transit friendly. Southdown is also very car friendly. Nearby highways are quite easy to access from any location in Southdown, and the city block layout is conducive to driving.

Services

It is a short walk to reach daycares and primary schools from most properties for sale in Southdown. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this part of Mississauga. With regards to food, accessing the closest grocery store by walking is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in Southdown. Residents are served by about 10 restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Southdown. Lastly, this area is relatively quiet, since there are few people out and about on the streets, although noise levels are higher closer to the railway line.
