Cars are a great transportation option in this part of Markham. Nearby highways, such as Highway 404, are very easy to reach from any location in Buttonville, and it is especially convenient to park. In contrast, the transit infrastructure in Buttonville is not very accessible. Nonetheless, rapid transit stations, including Hwy 7 / Montgomery, Hwy 7 / Woodbine and Hwy 7 / Allstate with access to the Viva Purple, are usually within walking distance from the majority of properties in the neighbourhood. There are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close by. Traveling by walking in this neighbourhood is not very common, although meeting daily needs is convenient without a vehicle. However, bicycling is easy in Buttonville.
