Located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Buttonville is a neighbourhood within Markham, Ontario.

Transportation

The favoured means of transportation in Buttonville is usually driving. It is very easy to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 404, are very easy to reach from any location in Buttonville. However, commuting by transit can be sometimes difficult in this area due to the low service level. Nonetheless, rapid transit stations, including Hwy 7 / Montgomery, Hwy 7 / Allstate and Hwy 7 / Woodbine on the purple | VIVA PURPLE, are usually relatively close by from most residences in the neighbourhood. There are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Although riding a bike is more practical in certain sectors than others, cycling is challenging in this part of the city as the topography is not especially flat, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. There also aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Buttonville, although most daily needs are easy to meet without the use of a car.
