Situated within the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Freeman is a neighbourhood within Burlington, Ontario.

Transportation

Freeman features a fairly good transit system. In particular, house owners are served by the Burlington on the Lakeshore West. There are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. On the other hand, traveling by foot in Freeman is not very popular, although meeting daily needs is convenient without the use of a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses in proximity. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in this neighbourhood because there are few bike lanes. Nevertheless, biking is better in certain areas than others, and there are a limited number of hills. In contrast, travelling by car is very convenient in Freeman. Most properties for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and it is very easy to access a parking spot.

In this area, families will generally be able to reach daycares without a vehicle. In contrast, there are only a limited number of primary schools in Freeman and thus they can be a long stroll away.
