The neighbourhood of Georgestown is part of the city of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is situated in the Greater St. John's metropolitan area.

Transportation

Georgestown will appeal to active home buyers as it is reasonably well-suited for walking; running daily errands is convenient on foot. In contrast, it is occasionally difficult to commute by bicycle in Georgestown as cyclists are faced with a significant amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not especially comprehensive. Public transit users may have limited options in Georgestown by reason of the low service level. Nonetheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. On the other hand, driving is a good transportation option in this part of St. John's. It is a very short car ride to the nearest highway from any location in Georgestown, and it is convenient to come across a place to park.

Services

Parents and their kids will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, homes for sale in this part of St. John's.
