Georgestown is a neighbourhood within St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is located in the Greater St. John's metropolitan area.

Transportation

A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are reasonably suitable for those who prefer to travel by walking; most daily needs are convenient to meet without the use of a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. However, cycling is occasionally challenging in this neighbourhood since there is a significant amount of hills, and there are a limited number of bike lanes. Driving is a fairly good mode of transportation in this part of St. John's. Finding a parking spot is easy, and nearby highways are very easy to reach from any location in Georgestown. However, public transit riders may experience few choices in this part of the city due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences.

The closest grocery store in Georgestown is typically only a short trip away. Residents of this neighbourhood benefit from a few restaurants as well.
