Our journey began 2 months ago when we were unsure exactly where we were buying and what we were looking for. I knew we needed a realtor who would make time for many uncertainties and be patient with my husband and I. We needed a realtor who respected that this was the biggest purchase of our lives and we were terrified. I turned to social media to refer us a stranger to join us on our adventure. Through the many persuasive references we chose Jason and his team. Our first meeting was unforgettable. He toured us from Nanaimo to Qualicum and all surrounding areas. Not once did he rush us. He cleared his entire day to be with us. He did his research prior to our day and took us to see homes he felt we may like. We were told to tell him everything going through our minds so he could get a picture of what we like and do not like. Through this very long day together he knew what we needed and also knew it was not going to be easy to find! Two months later, with literal sweat and tears he found our home right in the last minute! Not only did Jason go above and beyond the call of duty to get what we needed, he further booked, organized and attended our inspection when we could not. He helped us to understand all the bylaws in the area, regarding us running our home business and even arranged to meet with the Town Planner to ensure the bylaws were what we needed them to be.
Jason and his team always made time for us. They answered every question and concern in a very timely manner, often answering on the first ring.
I could write a novel on how pleased I am in working with Jason and his team, but instead I will leave you this. It is not often you meet a person who is kind, loyal, emotionally intelligent, sensitive to others feelings, incredibly professional, tells you what you need to hear even when it is not the best news, and always works his tail off to ensure you get what you need. I have found that man, Jason Simard. I true human being sales person! Like me, I bet you thought they do not exist! We have all been proven wrong.

Jason and his team are extraordinary. Anytime I had a question they got back to me within minutes, and offered a great deal of information and knowledge to me throughout the entire process. At the beginning of this process, I was hoping my house would sell within a month, in order to obtain our dream house. Jason changed my view on Realtors. He was straight forward honest, and real.
I had planned on selling privately in the beginning and luckily the buyer backed out due to family troubles. My wife and I decided to use a realtor and chose Jason because we liked the Facebook videos.
The house went up the next week and my wife and I sat back while he took care of everything, he even found a landscaper to come tidy the yard for us!
The house was shown on one day and we had multiple offers. Some for way over the asking price!
Jason then drove 50km on a Saturday to where we were camping to look over the offers.
Even after the first home inspection turned up a bunch of problems, he handled everything for me. Including finding a contractor and meeting them to show them the work to be done.
The house is now sold for 26k above the asking price. And WAY above the price I almost sold it privately for!

Jason was very familiar with the area I'm moving to and aware of what was available in my price range. He also understand the current market conditions in north Nanaimo where my (now sold) property is. He did a great job of explaining the way he and his team work to generate interest in your home and steps involved in preparing the home for sale. The house sold quickly and significantly above our asking price. He and team member Jacky Prevost were very helpful in negotiations and reviewing the offers that came in for the house as well as structuring my offer for my new home. I have dealt with several realtors in my life, but none I would recommend more than Jason. I met Jason when he was helping my daughter and her family relocate to Nanaimo from the mainland. I was struck by his integrity and honesty when showing her places. She was so determined to find a place quickly that she was ready to put in an offer on a home, even though in her own mind, it did was not her ideal home. Jason called her on her way home from Nanaimo that day to tell her that he did not really believe she truly loved that home and to hold off on putting in the offer. In the end he found them the house they truly loved and they are so happy that they waited as per his suggestion. I was impressed, as most agents would be happy just to complete a sale and get their commission. He showed he truly cared about making his clients happy about their purchase.

Jason has been fantastic and central to the successful acquisition of my first home, in Nanaimo, BC. Having lived in Vancouver for the last 9 years and wanting to move to a quiet, peaceful and affordable area, I considered Nanaimo. Being a first-time home buyer I was, as expected, quite nervous.
