Sean Holden was professional, ethical, and knowledgeable throughout the process of selling our home, which was complex in the present Vancouver market. He presented it in the best way possible through his high-class feature sheets, which were well-written and illustrated with accurate and professional photographs, and also advised us on improvements we could make to show it to best advantage. He took the time to talk with us as needed, and was both reassuring and realistic.

I first met Sean through friends who had been very happy with his service both selling and buying their houses. Sean gave me invaluable advice about vacation properties I was thinking of buying even though he knew I was not considering selling my Vancouver home.

Years later when it finally came time for me to sell, of course I contacted Sean. Sean impressed me with his knowledge of both the market in general and my neighbourhood in particular. He gave me superlative service in every way and sold my home over asking in a quickly sinking market.

I’d lived in my home for over 30 years and raised a family here. I needed a lot of hand-holding to make it through an emotional and complex process. Sean is an excellent communicator and was at all times supportive and a pleasure. He was very available and absolutely reliable in returning calls quickly and keeping appointments on time. He was patient and clear in explaining legal issues and assisting me in gathering information I needed. He was helpful not only in suggesting small improvements to my home, but perhaps even more importantly telling me not to bother with more expensive ones I thought might be necessary.

Open house, home inspections, and reviewing offers can be particularly tense times. Sean walked me through them in a calming way. In the end, his strategy for getting the best price while also being fair to the buyer paid off wonderfully. I was thrilled with the outcome and happy to pass my home along to a lovely young family.

A long overdue review for Sean, who helped my wife and I buy our first apartment this March. Sean was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. His background as an engineer and his years operating in the city have given him firsthand knowledge of literally almost every building in the that we inquired on. What an excellent Experience it was dealing with Sean. Not only is he a rock star for staging your home and getting it up online with High Res Photos, but he's funny, clever and easy to communicate with. He sold my home in 2 weeks.

Sean represented my husband and I when we bought a new home and sold our old one in 2014. We met him at an open house and loved the house although it wasn’t quite right for us. We asked him to show us property and set up an appointment. We looked off and on with Sean for three years. We weren’t sure what we were looking for and it took us time to figure it out. At no time did Sean act impatient with us or make us feel that we were wasting his time. He did his research and showed us properties that were in the ball park of what we said we were looking for . Once we went off course and asked about buying a property – we were ready and he gave us his honest feedback about why that property may not be a good investment for us. We found a house we wanted (finally ) there were 9 offers and it was due to Sean’s professionalism that we were the successful offer. Since we bought before we sold we then were overwhelmed by having to sell our place and had a trip coming up to Europe! Without Sean’s professional advice and caring support we never could have done this. He told us what to do to make the house sell fast. We listened to everything he said. He went far beyond the call of duty meeting me at Home Depot to help choose a counter top and showing up at my door with light fixtures I needed from his own collection. We had multiple offers on our place as a result of the brilliant marketing he did and his direction in staging the home. Watching him deal with the realtors and manage the presentation was impressive. We got beyond what we thought we would in price. We managed to do everything, transfer both properties and still go on our trip to Europe.

We referred him to our dear friends when they needed to sell. He represented them on the sale and purchase of their homes and every time they saw us they thanked us for referring him to them – they called him and angel.

I can't say enough amazing things about how happy we were with Sean on the purchase of our first home. He knew the Vancouver neighbourhoods well and also the history of the houses. With a background in Engineering, Sean doesn't just look at the aesthetics of a house but sees behind this. Anyone who has bought a house knows that the emotions can ride on aesthetics but once you move in you wish you had known what you would find within the walls and under the ground. I sent countless e-mails to Sean on possible places that were coming up in my search. He always responded quickly. He strongly advised me away from houses that had flipped too often; had legal claims against them; had had fires and possible structural problems; backed onto an alley of a main street etc. etc.

When we found our current home, Sean's response to me was different. He met me the very same evening at the property for an advance viewing. He new the seller's realtor. We did a review of the home and saw that it was a 3 bedroom up and 3 bedroom down 1960s bungalow with only 2 previous owners. We got the thumbs up from Sean and felt confident having had him dissuade us from so many other places. Emotionally, I was willing to offer a bit more on the table but Sean was confident that we could get it for the asking price provided that we could offer a quick close. He was right and the home was ours. He was great at coaching us through this and the additional money that we didn't put down allowed us to renovate the basement for rental income.
