Located within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Deer Ridge is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured approach to navigate this neighbourhood. Accessing a place to park is generally easy, and many houses for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, the public transit service in this neighbourhood is not very frequent. It is very hard to commute by bicycle in Deer Ridge since there is a significant amount of hills, and there are very few bike lanes. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for residents in Deer Ridge since running common errands is inconvenient on foot.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their property is located in this neighbourhood, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. In contrast, families may find it very difficult for their children to access daycares as a pedestrian. Regarding eating, house buyers in Deer Ridge almost always have to use a car to travel to the closest grocery store.

Character

Deer Ridge offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of West Vancouver is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are peaceful - however noise can be an issue near Trans-Canada Highway.
