The neighbourhood of Deer Ridge can be found in the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in Deer Ridge. It is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in this part of West Vancouver, and accessing a parking spot is generally easy. On the other hand, the public transit service in Deer Ridge is not very frequent. This part of the municipality is not very bicycling-friendly since riding is rendered strenuous by the often hilly terrain, and there are very few bike lanes. Deer Ridge is also not very conducive to walking since very few common errands can be run on foot.

Services

It is a very short walk to get to both primary and secondary schools from most houses for sale in Deer Ridge. However, parents may find it difficult for their kids to reach daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to eating, a vehicle is almost always needed in this part of the municipality to access the closest supermarket.

Character

There is a great variety of green spaces in Deer Ridge. Public green spaces are especially well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, which makes it easy to get to them. In this neighbourhood, about 80% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this area has occurred following the year 2000. This part of West Vancouver offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
