Bayridge

The neighbourhood of Bayridge is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this area. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to reach from anywhere in Bayridge, and it is very convenient to find a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit network in Bayridge is not very accessible. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. It is impractical for pedestrians to get around in Bayridge because very few daily errands can be run without needing to use a car. This part of the municipality is also not very amenable to biking because the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of hills.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their home is situated in Bayridge, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, this area does not contain any high schools. As far as eating is concerned, in all cases, a car is required to shop for groceries.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Bayridge. There are a few green spaces close by for residents to visit and they are especially well-spread out, which results in them being easy to get to from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. This part of West Vancouver is also quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around the railway line or Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

About 45% of homes in Bayridge were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. Single detached homes and row houses are the main housing type in this area. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the units in Bayridge and 20% are rented. This neighbourhood is notable for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
