Bayridge is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Bayridge. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to access from any home in Bayridge, and it is especially convenient to access a parking spot. However, public transit riders may experience limited options in this part of West Vancouver as a result of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. Bayridge is not very bicycling-friendly as cyclists encounter quite a few hills, and there are few bike lanes. Walking is also not very practical for house buyers in this area as very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

Parents and their kids will find that wherever their house is located in Bayridge, primary schools and daycares are close by. However, this part of the municipality does not contain any high schools. With regards to eating, shopping for one's groceries very often demands the use of a car in Bayridge.

Character

Bayridge offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. It is easy to get to public green spaces from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore. This part of the municipality is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case near Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line.

Housing

About 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the rest are renters. Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in this neighbourhood. Around 45% of properties in this part of the municipality were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
