The neighbourhood of Main is part of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Main is a very good neighbourhood for car-free transportation options. Main is an extraordinarily pleasant part of Vancouver for pedestrians; most daily needs can be met on foot, and various businesses are reasonably nearby. A very large number of people in the area use their bicycle because the cycling network is quite comprehensive, and bike-share stations are rarely more than a short distance away. Owing to a few nearby bus lines, Main is quite transit friendly. In contrast, commuting by car is challenging in this neighbourhood since it is difficult to park.

Services

In this part of Vancouver, families will usually be able to access daycares and schools on foot. In terms of food, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in Main. Furthermore, this part of Vancouver is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe.

Character

Main has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Main is quiet overall, as the streets are usually reasonably calm.
