Transportation

Grandview-Woodland will draw house buyers that use several means of transportation. Walking is very feasible for home buyers in this neighbourhood; all common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car, and many businesses are quite close by. Grandview-Woodland is also a very pleasant part of Vancouver for cyclists. More specifically, there are a good number of bike lanes, and bike-share stations are rarely more than a short distance away. Thanks to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Expo Line and Millennium Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit network in Grandview-Woodland is very practical. Driving is also a good means of transportation in Grandview-Woodland. Many real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway.

Services

Parents and their children will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from vast majority homes for sale in this neighbourhood. Families are served by public and private primary schools. As far as eating is concerned, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this part of Vancouver. Character

Grandview-Woodland is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this area. Finding things to do is easy in this neighbourhood. Even though the nightlife is limited, there are lots of people around most of the time. The noise levels in Grandview-Woodland are quite low, as the streets are reasonably calm - although that is not the case near one of the railway lines. Access to green spaces is easy in the neighbourhood since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

Housing

Renters occupy roughly two thirds of the properties in Grandview-Woodland and the rest are occupied by owners. In this part of the city, many buildings are small apartment buildings, while duplexes make up most of the remaining housing stock.
