Riley Park is a neighbourhood within Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Riley Park is a very good part of Vancouver for environmentally friendly transportation options. This area is especially suitable for walking; most daily needs can be met on foot, and many businesses are nearby. Cycling is very embraced in Riley Park because there is usually a bike-share station in proximity, and there are a fair number of bike lanes. The good public transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a car. For instance, the closest rapid transit station, including Oakridge-41st Avenue Station @ Platform 1, Oakridge-41st Avenue Station @ Platform 2 and King Edward Station @ Platform 1 on the Canada Line, is usually within walking distance from most residences in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. In contrast, driving is a rather poor transportation option in this neighbourhood as almost none of the street network is conducive to driving, and finding a place to park is not very easy.

Services

It is often an option for home buyers in this area to shop for general and specialty groceries on foot. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and there are also a few cafes in this part of the city.
