Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, East Cambie is a neighbourhood within Richmond, British Columbia.

Transportation

It is easy to move around by bike in this area. East Cambie is also quite suitable for those who travel by foot; running common errands is easy. Cars are a great medium of transportation in this area. Nearby highways, such as Highway 99, are very easy to reach from any home in East Cambie, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, the public transit network in this part of the city is not especially convenient. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses.

Services

It is a rather short walk to get to daycares and schools from any location in this part of Richmond. Residents have the choice between public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. Concerning food, property owners in East Cambie will be pleased to learn that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. There are also a few choices for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy East Cambie. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are generally peaceful - however noise can be bothersome near Highway 91 Offramp, Highway 91 or the railway line.
