Sea Island is a neighbourhood within Richmond, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is easy for people travelling on foot to move around in Sea Island; many common errands can be run without having to use a car, and a variety of businesses are nearby. Sea Island is also a very pleasant part of Richmond for cyclists. More specifically, there are a good number of bike lanes. The public transit service in Sea Island is not particularly frequent. Nonetheless, there are plenty of rapid transit stations on the Canada Line. Homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. However, driving is an excellent transportation option in Sea Island. It is very convenient to find a parking spot.

Services

Parents and their kids will find that wherever their house is situated in this part of Richmond, daycares are close by. In contrast, there are no primary schools and no high schools in this neighbourhood. With respect to eating, some, but not all, home buyers in Sea Island will live within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Sea Island, despite its sometimes busy atmosphere. There are over 100 green spaces nearby for residents to discover, making it very easy to access them. Lastly, this area can be relatively noisy, as during busier hours of the day, traffic can occasionally be bothersome.

The substantial proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Sea Island is an important part of its character. A majority of the housing growth in this area occurred before the 1960s.
