The neighbourhood of Caulfeild is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Caulfeild. The majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very convenient to come across a parking spot. However, Caulfeild is not an especially pleasant part of West Vancouver for moving around by public transit. Thankfully, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. It is challenging to get around by bike in Caulfeild as there is a significant amount of hills, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very convenient for walking since almost no daily needs can be carried out without having to resort to a car.

Services

It is a rather short walk to access daycares and schools from most homes for sale in this part of the municipality. In terms of eating, in all cases, a car is needed to purchase groceries. Nonetheless, getting to the nearest pharmacy and thus some staple foods is usually easy. A limited number of restaurants can be found in this neighbourhood as well.

The character of Caulfeild is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. Parks are very well-distributed and there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes it easy to reach them. This area is also excellent for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.

About 30% of homes in Caulfeild were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this neighbourhood.
