The neighbourhood of Town Centre can be found in the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood will appeal to homeowners that value a variety of means of transportation. People who want to live in a compact community will enjoy the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of Town Centre; many day-to-day needs are easy to carry out without needing to resort to a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Commuting by bicycle is also convenient in this part of the city since there are a large number of bike lanes. Thanks to many nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Millennium Line, and around 20 nearby bus lines, Town Centre is a very convenient part of Coquitlam for travelling by public transit. Cars are also a fairly good means of transportation in this part of Coquitlam as it is typically not too challenging to park.

Services

It is convenient to access both a general and a specialty grocery store as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in Town Centre. Additionally, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. With respect to education, schools and daycares are very easy to get to by foot from anywhere in Town Centre.

Character

Town Centre offers a wide selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant atmosphere. Finally, the majority of parts of this neighbourhood are very serene and quiet, but some other areas can be noisy, especially around one of the railway lines.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing many buildings in Town Centre, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. This part of the city is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the remainder are renters. The buildings in this neighbourhood are very new, because around 45% of its dwellings were built following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s.
