West Central Valley

The neighbourhood of West Central Valley is part of the city of Burnaby, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the means of transportation, it is reasonably convenient to move around in West Central Valley. The good public transit infrastructure allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. The nearest rapid transit station, including Gilmore Station and Brentwood Town Centre Station on the Millennium Skytrain, is ordinarily a short walk away from the bulk of properties in the neighbourhood. There are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. It is also convenient for people travelling on foot to navigate West Central Valley; meeting daily needs is easy. Although some pleasant pockets for cycling exist, and this neighbourhood is home to a reasonably good bicycling infrastructure, bicycling is occasionally challenging in West Central Valley since bicycle riders encounter a significant amount of slopes.

Furthermore, there are a good number of opportunities within walking distance for those who value restaurants and cafes. House buyers can find a fair number of nearby clothing stores. Finally, this part of the city is relatively quiet, as there are few people out and about on the streets; however those who are near the railway line or Trans-Canada Highway may experience more noise.
