Part of the Greater Calgary metropolitan area, Ranchlands is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta.

Transportation

Cars are a good means of transportation in Ranchlands. It is easy to park. On the other hand, travelling by public transit is challenging in Ranchlands. Nevertheless, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. Ranchlands is quite bike-friendly since the bicycling network is fairly good. On the other hand, there aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of this neighbourhood, even though running common errands is easy on foot.

Services

A grocery store is usually reachable within a short walk from any location in Ranchlands. A small number of restaurants can be found in this part of Calgary as well. With respect to education, schools and daycares are easy to walk to from any location in Ranchlands.

Character

Ranchlands is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. This part of Calgary is especially quiet overall, as the streets are very tranquil. Lastly, there are around 20 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in and they are very well-distributed, which makes them very easy to access.

Housing

Roughly half of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Ranchlands, and the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood whereas the remainder are rented.
