The neighbourhood of Hawkwood is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Hawkwood is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway from any location in this part of the city. On the other hand, Hawkwood is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby. The bike is a good means of transportation in Hawkwood. However, travelling by foot in Hawkwood is not very popular, although carrying out daily needs is easy.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are easy to get to on foot from anywhere in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, this area does not have any high schools. As far as eating is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to shop for groceries. Nonetheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and consequently some basic food items is generally convenient. There are also a few choices for those who care about nearby restaurants.

Character
