Transportation

Mont-Bellevue is a very good part of Sherbrooke for moving around by car. The majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Jacques-O'Bready, and coming across a place to park is generally easy. However, the public transit network in Mont-Bellevue is fairly poor. Thankfully, residents have access to around 20 bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most homes. Walking is not very popular in this part of Sherbrooke, even though running common errands is convenient.

Services

The nearest grocery store in this borough is usually only a reasonably short walk away. A limited variety of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. In terms of education, families will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from the majority of homes for sale in Mont-Bellevue.

Character

The character of Mont-Bellevue is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. It is easy to reach parks since there are around 40 of them close by for residents to unwind in. This borough is reasonably quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case near one of the railway lines or Autoroute Jacques-O'Bready.

Housing

About 70% of the population of this borough rent their home and 30% are owners. In this area, many dwellings are small apartment buildings, but single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. Around one third of properties in this borough were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the city is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
