Situated within the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Sector B is a neighbourhood within Brossard, Quebec.

Transportation

Sector B presents house buyers with the choice between a variety of methods of transportation. The reasonably good public transit infrastructure allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. The neighbourhood is linked by approximately 20 bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most homes. Walking is also reasonably feasible for property owners in sector B; many daily errands can be run without having to use a vehicle. This neighbourhood is appropriate for biking since there are a limited number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is quite well-developed.

Services

It is easy to get to the closest grocery store on foot from anywhere in sector B. There are also a few restaurants in sector B. When it comes to education, in this part of the city, parents and their kids will typically be able to get to primary schools and daycares on foot. However, there are no high schools in this area.

Character

The character of sector B is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. There is not that much greenery in this part of the city; to be more precise, residents will find that there are few tree-lined streets. Nonetheless, parks are especially well-distributed and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to discover, which makes them very easy to access from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. The noise levels in this part of the city are also reasonably low, as the streets are usually quite calm - although that is not the case around the railway line or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est.

Housing

In sector B, around half of buildings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 70% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 30% are rented. Most housing in this area was constructed between 1960 and 1980, during its main building boom.
