The neighbourhood of sector C is part of the city of Brossard, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. It is convenient to park, and the majority of homes for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est. In contrast, this part of the city is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, there is Du Quartier with access to the Gare Centrale - Brossard. Property owners are served by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of this neighbourhood, although many daily errands can be run without having to use a car. In contrast, the bicycle is a good method of transportation in this neighbourhood because it is an even ride to most locations, and the cycling network is quite extensive.

Services

Families will welcome that wherever their home is situated in sector C, daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are only a few primary schools in this part of Brossard and consequently they can be an extended walk away. Additionally, sector C does not contain any high schools. Concerning eating, a grocery store is generally reachable within a long walk from any home in this part of the city. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who value close by restaurants and cafes.

Character

Sector C offers a calm atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The greenery in this neighbourhood is not very prominent; although, it is easy to reach green spaces since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in. This area is also very quiet, as the streets are generally very peaceful - although that is not the case around Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or Autoroute de l'Acier.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing most dwellings in sector C, while single detached homes and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This part of Brossard has a good selection of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the remainder are renters. A majority of the housing growth in this area has happened after the year 2000.
