Transportation

Le Sud-Ouest will appeal to house buyers that use various modes of transportation. Thanks to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Ligne 2 - Orange and Ligne 1 - Verte, and over 50 nearby bus lines, Le Sud-Ouest is home to an excellent public transit infrastructure. Active property owners will also value the very pedestrian-friendly character of Le Sud-Ouest; most daily needs are very convenient to meet on foot, and numerous businesses are quite close by. Le Sud-Ouest will attract physically active people as it is suited for biking. More specifically, the area is reasonably flat, and the bicycling network is quite comprehensive.

Both general and specialty grocery stores are usually accessible within a short walk from any location in this part of Montréal. Avenue Atwater is among the best streets for groceries. Character

Le Sud-Ouest is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of the city. It is easy to find vibrant streets in this area. Despite the fact that there is a small selection of entertainment venues, there are very often crowds of people around, and with its a few nightlife venues, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by. Le Sud-Ouest is reasonably quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic, although there are still several louder sections, especially near Autoroute du Souvenir, Autoroute Ville-Marie or one of the railway lines. Greenery is present in this part of Montréal; it is very easy to get to parks from most locations within the borough since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to enjoy. Residents will also find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is good.

Housing
