Part of the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Sector I is a neighbourhood within Brossard, Quebec.

Transportation

Sector I will draw home buyers that value different means of transportation. This part of Brossard has a reasonably good transit network. More specifically, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close by. The bicycle is a reasonably good means of transportation in this part of the city since the cycling network is moderately comprehensive, and there are not many elevation changes to confront cyclists. Walking in sector I is not very popular, although running daily errands is convenient without needing a vehicle. On the other hand, travelling by car is very convenient in sector I. Most homes for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, and it is very easy to park.

Services

It is especially easy to reach the closest grocery store as a pedestrian in this area. A limited number of restaurants can be found in sector I as well. Moreover, it is convenient to get to a variety of clothing stores without needing a car. In terms of education, in this neighbourhood, parents and their children will almost always be able to access daycares on foot. In contrast, sector I does not contain any primary schools or high schools.

Character

There is a good selection of green spaces in sector I. More specifically, parks are easy to access since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in. However, there are very few tree-lined streets. Lastly, due to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city is relatively quiet, although there can be higher levels of noise for those who are around the railway line.

Housing

Most dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in sector I, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. Most homes in this neighbourhood were built after the year 2000, during its biggest construction boom. This area also has a choice of unit sizes - there is a higher proportion of two bedroom homes in this area. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder.
