Transportation

Regardless of the means of transportation, it is reasonably straightforward to move around in Mimico. This part of Toronto is transit friendly. For instance, train stations, including the Mimico with access to the Lakeshore West, are not very far from the majority of homes in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Mimico is also reasonably well-suited for walking; many common errands can be run on foot. Mimico is quite bike-friendly.

Services

A supermarket is typically accessible within a short walk from most homes for sale in Mimico. Additionally, this neighbourhood is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a small variety of cafes can be found as well. In terms of education, primary schools and daycares are especially convenient to access on foot from anywhere in Mimico. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Mimico. Parents benefit from public and private primary schools.

Character

Mimico offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The greenery in this area is reasonably prominent as many tree-lined streets are around. Parks are very easy to reach since there are approximately 20 of them close by for residents to relax in. This part of Toronto is quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier sections, especially around the railway line or F G Gardiner Expressway.
