The neighbourhood of Mimico can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

No matter the mode of transportation, it is fairly simple to travel in Mimico. Mimico is transit friendly. For example, the closest train station, such as the Mimico with access to the Lakeshore West, is commonly a short walk away from the bulk of residences in the neighbourhood. Homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Mimico is also a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; running common errands is easy without a car. Travelling by bicycle is convenient in this area.

Services

It is very easy to get to the closest grocery store without the use of a car in Mimico. Likewise, this part of the city is a good place in which to go out to eat, and house buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. With respect to education, in Mimico, parents and their children will almost always be able to access daycares and primary schools by foot. On the other hand, Mimico does not contain any high schools. Families are served by public and private primary schools.

Character

Mimico offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. The greenery in this area is prominent as many tree-lined streets are present. Parks are very well-spread out and there are around 20 of them close by for residents to check out, which results in them being very easy to access from most locations in the neighbourhood. Most areas in this part of the city are reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally quite peaceful - however noise can be bothersome closer to F G Gardiner Expressway or the railway line.

Housing

This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. Roughly 60% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters and the remainder are occupied by owners.
