Located in the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area, River Terrace is a neighbourhood within Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Transportation

Moving around by car is very convenient in River Terrace. It is especially convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, travelling by public transit is difficult in this area. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. Travelling on foot is not very feasible for home buyers in River Terrace as most daily needs are occasionally difficult to carry out by walking. However, this part of the city is reasonably conducive to cycling.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to daycares, which are within walking distance from the majority of properties for sale in River Terrace. In contrast, there are only a few primary schools in River Terrace and accordingly they can be a rather long walk away. Moreover, this area does not contain any high schools. With respect to eating, in most, if not all, cases, a vehicle is required in this neighbourhood to access the nearest supermarket. Nonetheless, pharmacies are generally easy to reach on foot and sell some basic food items. A limited selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well.
