The neighbourhood of Old Town is part of the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, which is situated in the St. Catharines - Niagara metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured mode of transportation in this part of Niagara-on-the-Lake is very often a car. It is very convenient to park. In contrast, public transit riders may find very limited options in this area as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines. Most homes for sale in this part of Niagara-on-the-Lake are located in areas that are not especially conducive to walking as very few daily needs can be met on foot. However, this neighbourhood will appeal to physically active house buyers because it is reasonably suited for biking. For instance, cyclists do not face serious hills.

Services

High schools and primary schools are not especially plentiful in Old Town, and therefore not always within walking distance. Furthermore, it can be very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, a fraction of home buyers in Old Town may be able to travel to the closest grocery store on foot, while others will need a vehicle.
