Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, West Shore is a neighbourhood within Pickering, Ontario.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is an extraordinarily convenient part of Pickering for driving. It is easy to park, and it is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 401, from anywhere in West Shore. In contrast, this part of Pickering is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close by. The bicycle is a fairly good means of transportation in West Shore. West Shore is not especially convenient for those who prefer to get around on foot as carrying out daily needs is occasionally challenging without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is a very short stroll to access primary schools and daycares from most houses for sale in West Shore. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this part of the city.
