Transportation

Driving is very often the favoured way to get around in Galetta. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 417, are quite easy to access from any home in Galetta. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of Ottawa are located in places that are not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since running common errands is very impractical. The bicycle is a fairly poor mode of transportation in Galetta because the terrain is not particularly flat, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. As far as eating is concerned, it is very rarely possible for property owners in Galetta to purchase groceries on foot.

Character

Galetta is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are generally calm - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially closer to Highway 417 or the railway line. Getting to parks, such as Galetta Community Centre, is very difficult from many locations within the neighbourhood since they are sparse. Despite that, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to check out.
